Meeting EPPSP 15 September 2010 : Conscientious Objection in Medicine
Sophie in ‘t Veld, Chair of the European Parliament Platform for Secularism in Politics (EPPSP), organized the Platform’s meeting on the subject of Conscientious Objection in Medicine, with speakers from Italy, U.K., Belgium and Poland.

The debate focussed on the rather extensive use of the right to conscientious objection on religious grounds in order to refuse legal medical interventions to do with sexual and reproductive health right (mainly abortion) and assisted dying.
